It has been announced today that the May meeting of the Clare County Council, due to be held on May 11th, has been postponed.
The decision was made in light of the current public health restrictions and will be held under review pending any announcements of change of restrictions from the government.
Members will continue to fulfil their duties via video and teleconferencing with relevant staff and at a municipal level.
Although they have been instructed that council votes cannot take place over teleconferencing due to possible legal challenge.

Clare County council member Pat Hayes says that the council is fully functioning, despite not being able to cast votes at the moment.
