The rate of COVID-19 in Clare is continuing to rise significantly, meanwhile.
A total of 116 cases were confirmed here in the two weeks up to midnight on Saturday – that’s more than double the figure of a week before.
This doesn’t include the 17 additional cases announced last evening, meaning Clare’s incidence rate will climb to over 100 cases per 100,000 people when tomorrow’s figures are published.

Currently, only six counties have a higher rate of COVID than Clare – last week, that figure stood at 14.
