A flagship international tourism project for Clare and the expansion of Shannon Airport are among the goals for the county in the years ahead.
The Mayor of Clare Councillor Christy Curtin launched the county development plan 2011-2017 last evening, saying it positions Clare as a driver for local and regional growth.
The document outlines a framework for the Council in it’s work with other bodies, towards fostering a better Clare – it also includes a proposal to enhance retail opportunities across the county, particularly in Ennis, Kilrush and Shannon.
