Clare's County Dog warden says he's happy that the welfare of dogs in Clare will continue to be looked after at the dog shelter in Ennis.
From January 1st, Offaly-based Midland Animal Care Limited will take over the running of the Clare Dog Warden Service after being awarded a 24-month contract by Care County Council.

The contract includes the management of dog control throughout the county and the running of the Dog Shelter on the Gort Road.
Frankie Coote will remain on as county dog warden but he says there's likely to be some changes.
