Almost one third of Clare drivers admit to driving on the county’s roads while knowing that their car tax was out of date.
The figure is contained in an AA Roadwatch survey of 300 drivers here, and shows that almost the same amount of drivers have taken to the roads in a vehicle that they knew was not NCT certified.
Meanwhile, 1.7% of Clare drivers have driven while knowing that they are not insured to do so.

All figures are broadly similar with the national average, which also show that young drivers are the worst offenders.
