The HSE has apologised for leaving a person with intellectual disabilities in the care of a foster home, at the centre of alleged sexual abuse, for up to 14 years.
The agency has also apologised for misleading the Public Accounts Committee by telling TDs it had apologised to victims, when it hadn't at the time.

The junior health minister Kathleen Lynch has meanwhile hit out at the HSE's drip-feeding of information about the claims.
However, calls are being made for Minster Lynch to quit her role.
