Clare experienced the largest increase in cases of homelessness in the Mid West last year.
An action plan on homelessness in the region has revealed that 2,092 people presented for homelessness in the Midwest last year compared to 1,820 in 2008.
The biggest jump was in Clare where the numbers rose by 17 percent with 188 children 240 men and 137 women presenting for homelessness with the majority in Ennis
