The Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers Association insist that the change in the maximum height for any vehicle on Irish roads will have a detrimental affect on Clare farmers.
The ICSA is calling for the national road authority to reverse the decision to reduce the height restriction to 4.65 meters.

The farming body maintain this change, which is in place from tomorrow, will see the vast majority of lorries transporting fodder significantly reducing their loads increasing the cost for farmers.
