Clare Colleran Molloy and Rita McInerney failed in their bids to get the backing of local party members, but last night's meeting in Ennis heard calls for a third Fianna Fáil candidate to run here, in order to maximise the party's chances of securing a second seat.
Timmy Dooley and Michael McDonagh say they're looking to gain a second Fianna Fáil seat in Clare.
