The Clare Chief Fire Officer says three thousand euro was wasted on a hoax call this weekend.
The service, coastguard and gardaí were all called to search for a woman reported to have fallen into the River Fergus in the Woodquay area of Ennis on Saturday night.

An investigation has been launched into the source of the report.
Clare's Chief Fire Officer Adrian Kelly says they treat every incident as valid until they discover otherwise.
