Clare Fire Service Alerted To Over 50 Incidents During Storm Barra

The clean up operation is getting underway this morning following Storm Barra.

Council Crews and Clare’s County Fire Service are being mobilised this morning to deal with areas affected by flooding, debris and fallen trees.

The fire service has been alerted to over 50 incidents across the county since yesterday, but say the full extent of the damage from the storm won’t be known for a number of hours.

Chief Fire Officer, Adrian Kelly has been speaking with Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill this morning. He says widespread compliance helped to save lives.
