As the last minute Halloween preparations get underway, the Clare Fire Service is reminding people that bonfires are illegal, and a costly problem for them each year.
Back yard burning and bonfires are against the law under the Waste management Act, and Clare County Council is also reminding members of the public that such fires are bad for the environment and your health.
The Clare Fire service is hoping they won’t been needed to put out bonfires this week, and that there’ll be no expensive clean-ups required after the Halloween festivites.
