Clare County Fire and Rescue Service is urging people not to light illegal bonfires this Halloween Bank Holiday weekend.
Last year was a record year for the service, which was called out to 19 incidents around the county at a cost of around €25,000.
People are being asked to be on the lookout for illegal fires building up in public areas and to bear the implications of them in mind.
