Clare Families are being urged to be extra careful this festive season with Christmas lights and candles.
Fire Services throughout Clare were called to 44 incidents during the 2012 Christmas period, representing a third successive drop in festive fire callouts since 2009.

However the fire service are reminding people to think of saftey first when gathered in homes across the county.
