Clare Fm is 20 years young today…
On the 10th of September 1989 former president and Clare native Dr. Patrick Hillary officially opened the station in Ennis.

Today’s celebrations come as Clare FM receives another boost after being nominated in several categories in the PPI Awards.
Clare FM’s main lunchtime news at 1 is nominated in the NEWS Bulletin category and in the Music Special Category; Clare FM’s celebration of the Kilfenora Ceili Band’s Centenary is also nominated.
The station will also compete in the Local Station of the Year – Full Service category.
