Most people in Clare will be staying at home for holidays this year – or won’t be going at all.

An opinion poll conducted among Clare FM listeners reveals that just 20% of locals will be going abroad this summer, while 48% of people will be enjoying a "staycation" in Ireland instead.
Half of those will be staying put in County Clare while 31% of visitors to the Clare.fm website said they won’t be going anywhere as they can’t afford holidays this year.
