Clare GAA President Henry Neylon has passed away after a short illness.
The 91 year old was a founding member of Michael Cusacks GAA Club where he was a working officer all his life, and Club president up until his death last night.
He was also a founding member of the Cusack Centre and played a major role in the purchase of the centre in the 1960’s, while he was a member of the board up until his death.
As a player he represented Carron, Belharbour, and won a senior championship with Kilfenora.
Henry, better known as Hendy Neylon, will repose at Nagles Funeral Home in Ennistymon on Monday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.
He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, after 11 o’clock funeral mass in Noughaville Church.
