Clare Gardaí say they’ll be increasing their presence across the county’s roads over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Traffic is expected to be busy in the region over the next number of days, with large numbers of people expected to be travelling for staycations across the Midwest.
Drivers are being asked to be mindful of speeding and distraction driving, with motorists also being urged to park safely and legally in beaches and coastal areas.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Tríona Brooks, has been telling Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville that there will be an obvious Garda presence in the county over the weekend.
