Gardaí are advising Clare motorists to drive with care this afternoon, as the county is hit with intermittent wintry showers.

Heavy sleet has been reported on the main Ennis to Kilrush Road, particularly in the Darragh and Lissycasey areas, and also in the Inagh area while a number of minor accidents have also occured.
