New Garda Superintendents are taking up their positions in Ennis and Ennistymon this week.
Superintendent Peter Duff will take up his role as head of the Ennis Garda Division, in his second Clare appointment in as many months, as he was appointed to the Ennistymon District from Dublin earlier this summer.
He’s replacing Superintendent John Scanlon, who’s being transferred to Roxboro Road Garda Station in Limerick following over three years in Ennis.

The vacancy in Ennistymon meanwhile, is being filled by Superintendent Colm O’Sullivan who’s moving from Cork to take up the post.
