Gardaí are urging Clare residents to take extra steps to secure your home, to prevent against burglaries.
As part of Operation Thor, Gardaí will be carrying out increased patrols in an effort to prevent thefts from homes, which traditionally rise by 20% over the winter months.
The national operation was first launched in 2015 and it has proven to be very successful in the fight against household burglaries and related crimes.
