Six Clare groups have hit the jackpot, and are to share almost 200,000 thousand euro in funding courtesy of the national lottery.

The lottery funding has been allocated by the Department of Health, and sees 100,000 euro go to the Clare branch of the Brothers of Charity, and a further 35,000 to the group’s Home Share Clare initiative.
Friends of Ennistymon Hospital has been awarded 40,000 euro and funds will also go to Carrigoran House, the Mountshannon-based Generations in Action and the Kilmihil Active Retirement Association.
