Clare’s seven-year wait for a representative at the International Rose of Tralee Festival could come to an end tonight.
Marie Donnellan of Newmarket-on-Fergus, this year’s Clare Rose, has taken part in the Rose of Tralee Regional Festival in Portlaoise this weekend.

61 Roses representing 29 counties in Ireland as well as regions in the US and cities in Europe and across the world have all taken part in the event, with 23 of them to go forward to the August showcase in Tralee. The results will be announced this evening.
