It’s hoped Clare’s natural heritage, beauty and tourism hotspots will encourage thousand of more visitors here under a major new initiative just launched by government.
The Gathering will be the biggest tourism event ever held in the country and is focused primarily at the global Irish diaspora.

A series of new festivals and other activities will be taking place in 2013 as part of the efforts to attract over 300-thousand additional people into the country.
