A Clare housing project has been honoured with a prestigious national award.
Glór na Srutha in Clonlara, which is managed by Clare County Council, was one of three housing projects in the county to be shortlisted for an Irish Council For Social Housing Award.
The ICSH Community Housing Awards which take place every two years, recognise and promote quality in housing delivery, management and services to tenants.
At a ceremony in Tullamore, Co. Offaly this week, Glór na Srutha was announced as the overall winner in the rural “Housing For Families” category.
Two other Clare projects; Cuan an Chláir and Clúid Housing Association’s project at Mill Place, Ennis were also shortlisted in the "Housing For Older People" and the "Collaborative Initiatives" categories.
