Clare's Independent TD insists that mental health patients in the county are suffering due to a severe lack of resources.
Dr. Michael Harty says mental health services are driven by bureaucratic management, which he believes is hindering the delivery of good patient outcomes and causing a disconnect between management and frontline staff.

Speaking in the Dáil, the Kilmihil GP has also hit out at the previous government's decision to divert 12 million euro from the mental health budget and has called on Minister Helen McEntee to restore funding.
Deputy Harty says adequate resources are vital.
