Clare's Labour TD is welcoming the announcement that plans for a major new salmon farm near the North Clare coast have been withdrawn.
Bord Iascaigh Mhara had planned a 15,000 tonne operation off Inis Oírr, but has now withdrawn its licence application in light of a new Sustainable Aquaculture Development strategy.
