A young Clare man remains in a critical condition in hospital following an attack in Thurles over the weekend
The 22 year old from Sixmilebridge received severe injuries to his head and was punched.
Gardaí arrested two youths yesterday morning in connection with the attack
The incident occurred outside a pub on Mitchell Street in Thurles around 1.30 Sunday morning.
Gardaí say the 22 year old victim, who’s believed to be from Sixmilebridge, was attacked and received punches and kicks to his head.
He was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital where he remains in a critical condition with his family at his side.
He is understood to have been staying with a relative in Thurles over the bank holiday weekend.
Early yesterday morning, Gardaí arrested two youths, aged 15 and 18 in connection with the attack
They’re being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Thurles Garda Station
