Motorists are being warned to take care on the roads this morning, with 30 millimetres of rain expected in Clare, leading to the risk of spot flooding.
Met Eireann’s issued a status yellow alert for some parts of the country.
Up to 30 millimetres of rain is expected to fall in Clare, as well as Kilkenny, Wexford, Limerick and Tipperary.

Meanwhile, up 50 millimetres is expected in Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
The Road Safety Authority’s spokesperson Michael Roland has this advice for motorists encountering floods.
