County Clare registered the 6th highest percentage of vehicles scrapped nationwide during March.
Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that over 5000 cars were tradded in against new models around the country last month with 175 here in Clare.
SIMI also show that Toyota, Renault, and Ford were the top three brands scrapped in the first three months of 2011.
