The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is urging people in Clare to play their part in saving lives
Blood Donation Clinics are running by appointment only from Monday evening to Thursday evening at a new location in St Josephs GAA Club, Doora Barefield, and Local Link will be providing a transport service to facilitate people from Ennis town, which also requires booking.
The demand from hospitals for blood has increased by 10% since April, so appeals are being made to both regular and new donors to come forward.
Aileen Browne, Area Manager for The Irish Blood Transfusion Service, says people new to donating should check the website to confirm they are eligible before booking an appointment.
