A Kilnamona poet has been named as a joint winner of a prestigious poetry award.
Doireann Ní Ghríofa has been awarded as the joint winner of the Michael Hartnett Poetry Award 2016 for her collection 'Clasp'.

She shares the prize with Kerryman John McAuliffe.
Dioreann, who is based in Cork but was reared in Kilnamona, began writing poetry in 2009 and has said she's deeply moved by the honour.
