A West Clare Principal is calling on the new Minister for Education to provide 100% funding for non-state schools.
A briefing document prepared for Minister Richard Bruton suggests that some schools won't be able to meet insurance costs, heating and electricity and other bills and may be forced to close.

It's understood an immediate injection of 40 million euro would be needed to get school funding back to 2011 levels.
Non-state schools receive 70% of their funding from the Government and Mary Crawford of St Joseph's secondary School says its not sustainable.
