Clare is to receive 3 new Garda recruits.
The Gardaí, who are among 199 new Gardaí graduating from Templemore today, spent the last eight months preparing for life on the beat and will now be stationed in Kilrush.
Five more recruits from Clarecastle, Quilty, Sixmilebridge, Tuamgraney and Ballynacally also passed out today and will be stationed in other Garda divisions across the country.

The Garda Commissioner halted spending on overtime in September, saying its unsustainable, and speaking at the passing out ceremony today, Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan says the increased numbers will reduce the need for it:
