New figures show the extent to how busy Clare’s Lifeguards were during July’s hot spell.
The data from Irish Water Safety show they carried out 67 rescues during the month – the highest of any county in Ireland.

They also top the statistics where it came to the number of accidents prevented at over 4800, First Aid administered 884 and they gave out advice to 9958 people.
Clare also recorded the third highest number of craft rescues during the month and dealt with the 3rd highest level of missing children
