County Clare remains on high alert this evening following hurricane type storms
Shannon airport has now re-opened after winds of 160 kilometres per hour knocked over an aer Arann plane earlier, while 25 patients evacuated from the top floor of the new unit at Ennis Hospital have been returned to their wards following safety checks.

The Fire Service, An Garda Siochana and Clare County Council have responded to in excess of 150 separate storm related incidents.
