It may be the world’s most popular social media websites, but nearly three-quarters of Clare residents don’t use Facebook.
Research carried out by digital marketing group Eighty Twenty has found just 25.6% of people here use the website, the fifth lowest rate of any county in Ireland.
In contrast, three-quarters of Dubliners use Facebook, along with half of people in Limerick.
In all, 2.2 million people in Ireland have their own Facebook profiles.
