Clare has not one, but two hopes in the Regional Rose of Tralee festival which comes to a head in Portlaoise tonight.
Clare Rose Joanne O'Gorman, from Cratloe, and Limerick Rose Dawn Ryan from Meelick are both competing against Roses from throughout the country for the right to take to the stage in Tralee in August.

Last year's Clare Rose, Marie Donnellan of Newmarket on Fergus, was the county's first competitor in the International event for seven years.
Joanne O'Gorman is now looking to follow in her footsteps, and says she has enjoyed the experience so far.
