Clare schools receive favourable reprots from Dept of Education.

Two more Clare schools have come under the spotlight in the latest round of Eduction Department inspections.

Toonagh National School outside Ennis was praised for the quality of its support for pupils with special needs, while in it’s report the inspectors also notes that the overall standards in teaching and learning are very good.

Meanwhile, Clonmoney National School in Newmarket-in-Fergus has also been honoured for overall good standards and it’s committed teachers.

However, the Department has asked the school to reconsider aspects of it’s plan for teaching English, as well as carrying out review the manner in which it deploys it’s learning-support teacher.
