Clare Sees Low Level of Production in 2012

The value of products manufactured in Clare was amongst the lowest in Ireland in 2012.

New CSO figures show the county's gross industrial output that year amounted to just under a quarter of a million euro for each person working in the sector.

This is the 18th highest of 24 ranked areas.

Cork had the highest value of gross output per employee at €1.18 million, though that year saw just over 6 billion euro worth of products manufactured in the MidWest.
