A Clare Fine Gael Senator says he ‘has problems’ with the government’s policy for wind energy.
Shannon representative Tony Mulcahy has told the Dail that coalition plans for turbines to be built in clusters sees residents in Clare and elsewhere ‘terrified’.

The government says such a plan will reduce costs involved in construction and in connection to the national grid, but Senator Mulcahy has told the Seanad that he has concerns.
Senator Mulcahy has questioned the economic benefit of wind farms for the areas concerned.
