A Clare senator has criticised the new contract given to Republic of Ireland football manager Giovanni Trapattoni.
Last month the Italian signed a two-year deal, purported to be worth 1.5 million euro a year.
However, his pay cheque has been criticised by North Clare representative Martin Conway who told Seanad Eireann that it was an ‘outrage’ that so much money go to one person, when facilities across Ireland are in need of repair
