Met Eireann is predicting more than a months rain will fall in the West of the country over the next 24 hours.
Severe weather conditions are expected in all parts of the country with high winds and heavy rainfall but mountainous areas of the South and West will be worst affected.

Gardai in Clare have reported a number of minor accicdents are urging drivers to proceed with caution with gale force winds expected to hit the county later this evening.
There’s also a risk of flooding in many places.
