There were four settlements made between the Revenue Commissioners and Clare tax defaulters in the three months to the end of September.
The largest settlement was made between the revenue and Company Director Patrick Mahony of Ballyquinmore, Kilbane in Broadford for over 261 thousand euro for the under declaration of income tax and capital gains tax.
Also included in the list was a Clare auctioneer who was fined for the failure to hold a license, an Ennis man who was fined for cigarette smuggling and an agricultural contractor who failed to lodge income tax returns.
In all, over 76 settlements were made during the three months, three of which exceeded the one million euro mark.
