Over 13 hundred students across Clare will receive their Junior Cert results today.
More than 55 thousand nationwide sat the exams in June.
Congratulating the students Education Minister Batt O Keefe said he was heartened to see the numbers taking high Maths and Science.
A total of 55 thousand five hundred and fifty seven students sat the Junior Cert exams last June, with 1381 of them here in Clare…the overall figure is a 2.4 percent drop on last year
Breaking that down, over a half a million grades in 27 subjects are being delivered to the 27 thousand or so females and over 28 thousand males from this year’s examinations.
On top of this there were over 12 hundred re-entrants to education students…through schemes such as the Vocational Training Opportunity programme and the Back to School initiative
Statements of the results will be available in the individual schools across the county alternatively students can access the results online on www.examinations.ie from 4 pm
