Clare Fianna Fàil TD Cathal Crowe has alleged that a fraudulent letter using his signature has been sent to Council planners.
A clearly angry Deputy Crowe posted a redacted version of the letter on social media, showing that it was received by the Council’s Planning Enforcement Section this week.
He has said he believes his signature has been obtained from an email sent by his office.
He has reported the matter to Gardaí and has also asked that the Council investigation into the property in question be halted, as it is based on what he called a vexatious and fake letter.
