A Clare Fine Gael TD is backing calls to abolish the Seanad.
It follows a decision by the Fine Gael front bench to endorse party Leader Enda Kenny’s controversial proposal to bring an end to the Senate and to reduce the size of the Dáil, if they’re elected to government in future.
