Clare's Fianna Fáil TD says it's past time for government action to preserve post offices.
Deputy Timmy Dooley has hit out at his government counterpart, Denis Naughten, saying the Communications Minster has dragged his heels rather than acting to preserve the network.

Postmasters have also pushed for action in recent weeks, saying the network needs to be reviewed in order to preserve the future of offices throughout the country.
Deputy Dooley thinks the Minister needs to act now.
