Clare teachers are welcoming a proposal which could effectively ban the development of headshops near schools across Clare.
Clare County Council are to discuss a motion which, if passed, could lead to an amendment of planning guidelines to prevent any such shops setting up within 10 kilometres of a school.
Ennis Town Council has already enacted a similar plan

Mary Crawford, the Chairperson of the Clare Principals & Deputies group says that even if the measure is passed, schools will still have to teach children about the dangers of head shop products.
