A little bit of North Clare has been submitted into one of the world's most important musical libraries.
A recording of a jig called "The Humours of Ennistymon" has been selected for entry into the Library of Congress, which looks to preserve "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" recordings.

The 1922 recording is by Michael Coleman, a Sligo fiddler who spent much of his life in the US.
Coleman's is one of 25 recordings enshrined this year, and he's joined by Steve Martin, The Doors and Radiohead.
